MICHIGAN JEWISH DEMOCRATS ANNOUNCE FEDERAL PAC, ENDORSE SLOTKIN, STEVENS FOR RE-ELECTION

September 19, 2019

LANSING, Mich. — The Executive Board of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus announced today the formation of the Michigan Jewish Democrats Federal Action Fund, a new political action committee that will enable the group to have a voice in federal elections.

Noah Arbit, who will serve as the Fund’s executive director, stated, “I am thrilled that we will be able to channel the incredible energy and activism of the Jewish community that I’ve seen over the past six months here in Michigan to make a real impact in our federal elections next year.”

“The Michigan Jewish Democrats Federal Action Fund will provide a critical mechanism for Michigan’s Jews to have a greater voice in the 2020 elections, while continuing our work to combat antisemitism and elect candidates who share our community’s values.”

“That work begins with re-electing Rep. Elissa Slotkin (MI-08) and Rep. Haley Stevens (MI-11). Both Congresswoman Slotkin - who is the first Jewish woman to represent Michigan in the U.S. House - and Congresswoman Stevens, have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Michigan’s Jewish community and exemplified the best of Jewish values during their tenures. Michigan Jewish Democrats are incredibly proud to give Elissa and Haley our first endorsements of the 2020 election cycle.”
