"Our mission is to be the voice of Michigan's Jewish community in the Democratic Party. Together we will grow a movement to combat antisemitism, elect more Democrats, and build a better, stronger, fairer Michigan."

- Noah Arbit, Founding Chair

Priorities

  •  Elevate Jewish voices  within the Michigan Democratic Party

  •  Provide a forum  for Jewish Michiganders to discuss political issues with elected officials and candidates

  •  Combat antisemitism  and educate the public on its manifestations

  •  Increase Jewish representation  in Michigan politics and government

  •  Recruit and train Jewish Democrats  to organize and run for office

  •  Elect Democrats  who share our values to local, state, and federal office

  •  Advocate for progressive policies  that benefit all Michiganders

What is a Caucus?

A Michigan Democratic Party (MDP) caucus is a political organization comprised of and dedicated to serving a specific constituency group or voting bloc - in our case: Jewish Democrats. MDP caucuses serve as a forum for activists and community leaders to discuss pressing political issues, organize collectively, campaign for Democrats, as well as meet with party leaders and elected officials. Once a caucus is chartered, its leadership team becomes party to regular communications with MDP leadership, and is given a dedicated space to rally at biennial state party conventions.
