MICHIGAN DEMOCRATIC JEWISH CAUCUS CONCERNED BY REPORTS OF ANTISEMITIC FLYERS IN BIRMINGHAM
The Executive Board of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus issued the following statement regarding purported antisemitic and pro-Nazi flyers seen in Birmingham:
OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. — “Today, we have heard disturbing reports about the presence of antisemitic and pro-Nazi flyers posted in and around Birmingham and surrounding areas. While these reports have yet to be confirmed, the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus reiterates our intolerance of any form of antisemitism, and any images or media aimed to threaten or harass our Jewish community here in Michigan.
"Combating antisemitism - particularly in the political arena, and especially in our own backyard - is a central priority for the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus. We will continue to engage with our elected representatives on the subject of rising antisemitism in the United States and in Michigan — because no community is immune, and we must fight this hatred together. Should any of our members come across one of these flyers, or any other antisemitic incident, we encourage them to report it to the Anti-Defamation League immediately.”
