MICHIGAN DEMOCRATIC JEWISH CAUCUS CHAIR MOURNS TERRORIST ATTACK ON POWAY, CA JEWISH COMMUNITY

Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus Founder and Chair Noah Arbit released the following statement in response to the Beit Chabad synagogue terrorist attack in Poway, California:

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. — “Baruch Dayan Emet. Today, on this Shabbos, the American Jewish community is forced yet again to contend with the pain of hatred and violence arriving on the doorstep of our holy places. My prayers are with the Jewish community of Poway, and those killed and injured in today’s antisemitic terrorist attack. May they soon know healing, comfort, and safety.

"Yet again, we find ourselves declaring to all those who doubt that yes, antisemitism is real. Antisemitism is violence. Antisemitism is death. We continue to work with our partners across Michigan to combat antisemitism in the political arena and elsewhere, as well as to support our community in what is a deeply unsettling time.
