Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus Statement on 2020 Election Results
Jewish Michiganders gratified by Democratic victories up and down the ballot in the state; 11-point shift towards Democrats in Jewish vote powered by largest investment in Jewish voter mobilization in Michigan history, says MDJC Chair Noah Arbit
WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. — Noah Arbit, founder and chairman of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus issued the following statement on the results of the 2020 general election:
“The Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus congratulates President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris for their victory in Michigan and across the country. The Biden-Harris administration will be a strong ally of our Jewish community, and we will work to build support for the Biden-Harris agenda. We also congratulate our endorsed candidates Senator Gary Peters, and Representatives Elissa Slotkin, Andy Levin, Haley Stevens, Brenda Lawrence, and Debbie Dingell on their re-election to Congress. We need their leadership now more than ever.”
“Reliable exit surveys have indicated that Jewish voters supported the Biden-Harris ticket by an unprecedented 56-point margin (77-21%), marking an 11% swing towards the Democratic Party among Jewish voters since the 2016 election. There is no doubt that Jewish Michiganders contributed to this swing. I am immensely proud to have launched the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus in advance of this election to provide a voice for Jewish Michiganders in the Democratic Party, to mobilize and empower Michigan’s Jewish community in support of candidates, causes, and issues we believe in. Together, we built one of the most sophisticated, dynamic, and effective constituency organizations in the country, and deployed the largest investment in Jewish voter mobilization in the history of the State of Michigan. Jewish voices and votes continue to matter in Michigan elections, and I look forward to building an even bigger campaign for the 2022 election. The work of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus has just begun.”

The post highlights how organizing a food drive for Thanksgiving can help support local families while also encouraging community involvement and kindness during the holiday season. It made me think of a school project where we collected donations and had to plan everything carefully so nothing was wasted. I remember how teamwork made even small tasks feel meaningful. While studying structured planning in business topics, I once came across an order of business management dissertations online when learning how organization and coordination are explained in academic work. It shows how planning plays a key role in both community efforts and business studies.
