Michigan Jewish Democrats Condemn Donald Trump’s Invocation Of Antisemitic Dual-Loyalty Tropes During Rosh Hashanah Call

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich.Noah Arbit, founder and chairman of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus repudiated President Donald Trump’s invocation of dual loyalty tropes during today’s Rosh HaShanah call sponsored by the White House:

“Once again, in seeking to falsely smear Democrats as antisemitic and anti-Israel, Donald Trump, himself, invoked the antisemitic trope of dual-loyalties, remarking that Jews should vote for him because “we [Republicans] love your country [Israel].”

“Mr. President, our country is the United States of America, and it is because of our deep and abiding loyalty to this nation that Jewish Americans, and Jewish Michiganders in particular, are repulsed by your failed, corrupt, and authoritarian presidency, and will see to it that you are defeated in 48 days.”

About: The Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus (MDJC) is the voice of Jewish Michiganders in the Democratic Party, dedicated to combating antisemitism and electing Democrats who share our values. In addition to supporting candidates through its state and federal PACs, MDJC works to strengthen the link between Michigan’s Jews and Democrats through strong communications and public forums, increase Jewish representation in Michigan politics, and advocate for progressive policies benefiting all Michiganders.
