WEST BLOOMFIELD, Michigan — The Executive Board of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus applauds Senator Gary Peters (D-Bloomfield Township) for joining the U.S. Senate Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism as a founding member.

As we continue to grapple with rapidly rising antisemitism – including violent antisemitism – across the United States, Senator Peters’ membership of this vital and timely task force ensures Jewish Michiganders will have a strong voice in the conversation.

Noah Arbit, founder and chair of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus, added, “The establishment of the Senate’s antisemitism task force is incredibly important, and I am thrilled to see Senator Peters continuing his long-standing record championing the issues and concerns of Michigan Jews. Today’s announcement is yet another powerful indicator of Senator Peters’ stellar representation of Michigan’s Jewish community, and we are grateful to him.”
